2016 marks the 70th anniversary of Eleanor Rathbone’s death, so we are busy  arranging a series of events which will celebrate her life and embrace her diverse humanitarian activism. From Liverpool to London, from university campuses to the Palace of Westminster, there will be conferences, large and small, lectures and study days, even theatrical enactments involving sixth-form students. Eleanor is an unsung heroine of the twentieth century and this anniversary offers the perfect opportunity to commemorate her achievements.
